au'bre's outing

Au'bre had a big day the other afternoon. My step-dad took her to get her picture taken with the Oscar Meyer car. Weiner dog with the weiner car.

fall can make even mondays good

As a good friend pointed out to me, I have been really bad about posting my happy monday lists/posts. I blame it mostly on a change in my schedule (I have class on Mondays; therefore I am at my computer less on that day). But I decided that this week was in need of one, so better late than never (or something to that effect).

1. pumpkins
(google image)
I love, love, love, LOVE pumpkins. No joke. In fact, I love them so much, I made my font orange. Take that!
The boy bought me a mini pumpkin the other day while we were at the grocery store. I think this year I'm going to buy a bunch and decorate and name them. Any suggestions for decorations or names???
2. The scents that come with Fall.

I love smells like this. And I love the Wallflowers plug ins found at Bath & Body Works.

3. 50's fashion

I found these adorable dresses here online at Retro Housewife.
I've been trying to get an early start on figuring out my Halloween costume and I started searching 1950's fashions when I stumbled upon these beauties. Too bad I can't buy one of 'em.

4. decorating
:) House decorations for Fall. Like this one found over on Elsie Flannigan's flickr.
I can't wait to break out our Fall/Halloween decorations and get festive!!

5. warm clothing

Like this scarf I found online at gap.

and this hat I found at this etsy store

Ok now you gotta go check out my good friend Jeff's blog. He started his own Monday list and it definitely made me laugh. A lot. So go read for yourself.
Happy [belated] Monday!!!...Ok Tuesday. :)

art market saturday

This afternoon some of us went to the Riverside Arts Market. While the market is open from about March or April until December, none of us had ever gone.
The weather was perfect and the entertainment, art, and crafts were incredible....

Um.... no words can describe I guess....

the unicycle/ fire juggler.

And I bought this shirt. Tact brand. They had some adorable stuff and this was the last pink shirt with a camera!!!

Kenyan Coffee. AMAZING!!!! 100% fair trade, contributes to Kenyans, no bitter aftertaste, AND low acid levels. Some Publix and WinnDixie stores now carry this (in the organic section). Check out their website here. And try the coffee- you won't regret it--- I PROMISE!!!

Ok- so I loved this girl's work and bought a bunch of stuff from her. You can too.... find her here.

They had bunch of these pieces of art. So cute!!! And most of them are hysterical!!. See more here.

There was also a booth with a lot of cute items and you could design your own purse/apron/etc.!! I loved these designs the most. Create yours here.

This place was amazing. Custom made jewelry (or you can buy what's already made). They were making them right in their booth. These were my favorites. Get your own here.

Then we went thrift store shopping (because we hadn't done enough shopping :) )

I bought this 1968 Look Magazine with John Lennon on the cover!!! So freakin' sweet.

And these two things above I did not buy. However, they were too funny.

And to top off our day- we went to Sake House for lunch. I haven't had sushi in soooooo long. It was nice to get some again!!!

What have you been up to this beautiful Saturday?!?!?

Soooooo much to figure out.
Not enough time to go through it all in my head.

Oh no...here comes the inevitable feeling of being overwhelmed. Brought to you by Fall semester 2009.

This past weekend...

My bestie, (who is now a youth pastor) took her youth group to Rock the Universe in Universal (Orlando, FL). So Jeff and I got to go with them to chaperon. Such a GREAT, GREAT night!!

-We 3 musketeers got some time to bond and hang out
-Leigh's youth group is full of some amazing kids. We had so much fun together (they are just to dang funny).
-Got to ride the Mummy twice (even though the wait was 2 hours long, and then 1 hour long...)
-Got another Pumpkin Spice Latte (ok I'm hopelessly addicted).

Then yesterday was completely full of football games and hanging out with the boy. :) Fun, fun!

Did you do anything really fun this past weekend???

home decor

I've always been the type of person who had to rearrange her room every few weeks or so. Now that I have my own place, I constantly feel the need to update and improve every room.
I'm still trying to work on my bedroom, but these decals caught my eye....hmmm maybe something for the main living areas OR my bedroom.

I'll have to post some pictures of my bedroom once I get it straightened up. Lately I've been so overwhelmed with getting back into the habit of school that I have no time for much else.....
Hope you're having a great Wednesday!!!
Oh- and don't forget Starbuck's Pumpkin Spice latte is back...it's not Fall until you've had one!!
