a lovely weekend

Geez, I can't believe Sunday and then weekend are almost over!!! :(
I hope everyone had an awesome one!!! Mine was lovely (minus stress causing some bad stomach aches, that made me have to bail on some plans. boo!)
Other than that though, my weekend was soooo lovely.
I'm not sure I've had this packed of a weekend in awhile.
I spent a ton of time with my sister and her kids building a fort, watching chick flicks, dying my sisters hair, bike rides, and running errands. The boy and I also go to finish The Godfather II, which I didn't like as much as the first, but it was still pretty good. Then today was full of church stuff (bible study, church, youth, and of course hanging out with my parents!) It's been a nice weekend all in all, I'm sooooooooooooo sad that I have to back to the firm tomorrow morning for work. ICK!

film flick friday and other fun things!

HI!!!! Somehow it's already Friday, and I couldn't be happier about that!!! :)

For this Friday's film post I got to thinking about all the movies I adored as a kid. These are the movies that I watched on VHS (oh those were the days!) over and over again until the tape was ruined and my parents had to buy me another copy of it.

Other fun news......

Thursdays I've tried to incorporate posts about things that inspire me (as you may already know). Sometimes I get so bogged down with life that I want to remember the fun, creative, lovely parts about life; hence, why I started this post feature.

I decided this week though, that I wan to incorporate more into it than just pictures, ideas, and themes. I want to incorporate YOU!!! i will not cry, i will not cry, i will not cry

I'm having one of those days.... maybe it's due to stress, but I think I can place blame elsewhere too. Today is not horrible, not by any means, BUT there are some things that have deeply upset or annoyed me.

Fact: I am over-sensative (and I am trying to work on this)
Fact: I get way emotional when stressed
Fact: Lately I've felt like the odd man out with a lot of things (and people)

Things I keep trying to tell myself:
-you are the magic wand (my high school bff's mom use to say this. it means basically you make the magic, you can cause good things to happen (or at least you can cause your mind to stay positive)
-big girls dont cry
-tomorrows another day
-theres light at the end of the tunnel (and dear Lord, please don't let it be a train!)

Things I still can't seem to stop being upset about (even though I am trying to get over them):
- not feeling included
- not getting included in a trip that I so badly wanted to be a part of (but got "cut out" so to speak) Maybe it's not so much the trip part that upsets me, maybe it's more of the fact that I feel like I've been "cut out" of this part of his life. I get boy trips, they should happen, but to go where I've been wanting to go with YOU for a longggg time to see your family with someone else?? boo
-not feeling like i have someone here in jax to constantly turn to and cry with (not that I've wanted to cry lately (minus today) but it would be nice having someone here that I could cry with, should I need to).
- not feeling wanted

I feel like a babbling baby. Sorry readers.
Just please pray for my sanity. :)
It will get better I know. And again, I'm not trying to pity party myself here, but if I didn't get it out here I would expload!!!

Wednesday Wishes

It's finally Wednesday!!!! And of course you know what that means!!! Another wishlist.

1. to make peace with my computers (the one at work, the one at home...etc)
for some reason even the simpliest things (like checking my blog, updating my blog, trying to schedule an appointment for one of my bosses) has become a difficult task. Computers just do not want to work with me today. :(

I feel like there are so many things I want to start doing (making and selling crafts, learning new things, decorating every square inch of my home, working on my cooking skills (or lack there of) etc.) and there is just not enough time. Short and sweet......here's a fact that I am super-duper happy to be sharing(!!!!): I just enrolled in my very last class!!! It's a long story as to why I only have 1 class left before graduating college, but I'm FINALLY there. One class and one internship left. :) I'm soooo happy about this I could cry!

film flick friday

Happy Friday everyone!!
I decided that for film flick friday I will introduce a film category, share my faves and not so faves and then (hopefully) get yalls feedback. I love being able to share with yall on here and I want you (the readers) to feel like you can share here too. So please, when/if you have a comment or recommendation, please share. I love hearing your comments!!!


Tidbit about me:
I use to hate Woody Allen films. Well, I guess I can't say that. It was more of the fact that his personal life freaked me out and I just couldn't ever see myself being able to like any of his movies. But I finally grew up and decided to give them a try. This of course means that I ended up loving most of them!!

The first of his movies I saw was Scoop. SOOO good. I was hooked.


To be honest, I hated Everything Else. I wanted to stop it, but pressed on thinking it might get better....it didn't.


Curse of the Jade Scorpion was really good. Love the time era.


Murder in Manhattan was pretty good, not the best but it def kept me laughing!


Ok...this is the last of his movies I've watched. I saw 15 minutes of it and couldn't stand anymore. Awesome cast and I tend to love musicals, but this one just wasnt for me.



So now, (as I want to do for all my film flick friday posts) tell me--what Woody Allen films do you like/don't like? Did you agree or disagree with any of my opinions? Are there any other films of his that you recommend??? Please do share!!!
