Another Monday already. Gesh! I hope yall had a lovely weekend. Mine was great, but went by way too fast.

Friday after work I went to my sisters for a sister night (pedicures and dinner) and then slept over. i love sleeping over, my 5 year old niece always wakes me up at 6am to cuddle and then around 8:30 shes yelling at me to get outta bed to play. craziness, but i wouldnt trade it for a thing!
Saturday I got some time with the boy :) and then we went with some of his friends to the Jax Sharks arena football game. i looooove football :)
Sunday was work, which i honestly love! i can't believe i get paid to be a youth director. i loove it! and the youth i get to hang out with are just awesome. i love my sundays with them. then of course there was lunch with the parents, and dinner and a movie with the boy (he cooked *swoon*).

inspiration thursday (with Beth from when sparks fly up)

Yes, I know- it's Friday. Yesterday was INSANE, so sorry for the delay. But I think this interview will more than make up for my slacking.

Beth is such an awesome gal and her blog truly inspires me. She also use to live in Jacksonville too! :) So here she is! :)

Name: Beth

You can find me here:

About me:
I'm 20ish and currently living and working in Atlanta, after relocating from Jacksonville. I contribute to an online fashion and art magazine called 160grams and also work for H&M. I'm starting back to school soon for Communications and hope to end up somewhere working as fashion journalist. Ive also spent the past 12 years taking martials arts, which I love. Aside from that you can usually find me in vintage stores, at concerts, reading, or shopping, of course =)
Favorite Craft/Hobby:
If I have the time, I love to bake and sew! Aside from the fact that I live in a house, these are pretty much my only domestic qualities, haha.

Up Next for Me:
All sorts of awesome things! New place, starting school, continuing to write for 160grams hopefully. And in my immediate future? Some cheap red wine and Fleetwood Mac on vinly with my best friend. Definitely can't complain.

5 Things That Make Me Happy:
coffee, good music, sample sales, fall weather, old friends

My Inspiration: Style wise:
I love people who look effortlessly put together. People that have something unique about them without taking themselves that seriously. Think Sienna Miller, Erin Wasson, Emmanuelle Alt. Otherwise, I draw inspiration from everything! People walking down the street, a quote I found in a book I've read, a really great song. It's just a matter of paying attention to what's in front of you I think. Not missing the little things =)

Motivation:
This is a hard one for me because I'm such a procrastinator! Seriously it's ridiculous. So usually I have to break things down into lists. Gosh, this is such a boring answer, haha. But yeah, being able to set small little goal lists and cross things off as I accomplish really help to finish what I start.

Where would I wanna travel if I could?
I would love to go to Germany or Amsterdam. Or Thailand. Or Greece. haha.

Funny/Interesting fact about me:
I've never had the chickenpox or broken a bone, and I still have my tonsils and wisdom teeth. =)

Take care!
-Beth
Thanks again Beth!!!
Go check out her blog if you havent yet and leave her some love :)
Have a great Friday!!!!

day 10 of 30 days of truth

Day 10 →? Someone you need to let go, or wish you didn’t know

I feel like most of my answers have been somewhat guarded for multiple reasons. First off, I'm worried about hurting someones feelings. I don't want to or like to call people out, especially on the internet, so I kind of beat around the bush and answer the question by pointing the finger back at myself. I think sometimes this approach is okay, because typically we should be looking at ourselves first before we put the blame on anyone else. However, there are some questions that I want to be honest about (even if it's a bit brutal).... I just have this huge fear of hurting someone. Even if that person despises me already, I can't bear the thought of hurting them back.
Truth be told though, for the most part I do feel like I've lost the "toxic" people in my life. Life is too short to be around people that only make you feel like crap about yourself.

day 9 of 30 days of truth

Day 09 →? Someone you didn’t want to let go, but just drifted

Actually, there have been a lot of friends that I didn't want to let go, but due to life changes like moving or whatnot I lost contact with them. It sucks because they are still on my mind and I miss having them in my life. Sometimes I feel like a weirdo for trying to reconnect with them (I mean, just cause I still think about them, doesn't mean they still think about me, plus what exactly do I say???) or sometimes i don't know how to get in contact with them again....no, not everyone has facebook (ha!)

I started thinking about all the things on my "bucket list" that I have yet to accomplish today and realized that one of my major wishes is to work harder on doing these. Some of these I've wanted to do since middle school, I just haven't.

Day 08 →? Someone who made your life hell, or treated you like shit

Okay, today's prompt makes me nervous. I hate admitting out loud that there has been anyone that has treated me this way, mostly because I feel like I am giving them too much power if I do. Truth be told though, we all have had people like this in our lives, people that treat us like doormats or as if we don't matter. I've tried to cut these people out (although if you know me, you know I despise cutting anyone out). It's tough, but it needs to be done. With that said, there have been friends, boyfriends, and even family members that have made my life more difficult than it should have been. There have also been those that have made me feel less valued or loved and had a part in significantly lowering my self-esteem (or so I thought). Truth is, I allowed them to. I gave them the power to make me feel less than I am. I guess if I'm going to say that, I must then admit that it was only me that made my life hell..... Talk about a light bulb going off!
