52 lists in 52 weeks// week 24

After reading the latest post from one of my favorite blogs and after all of the "5 things about me" instagram posts going around I got a bit inspired for this week's list. So this week's list.......
5 things.
1. I'm finally up to date on the Twilight movies. Now I can't wait for this weekend!
2. I still have Halloween decorations up (thanks to laziness).
3. Today I got to see an old friend for lunch. She and I have known each other since we were 9.
4. I'm currently wearing penguin pj pants, which means I am in for the night.
5. This weekend I went to Cocoa Beach to meet some more of my boyfriend's family. I was extremely nervous too by the way (I'm always afraid of making a bad impression).

Well, there's my list. Now your turn....5 things (any kind of things...just list em out!).
(ps if you have instagram, you should add me...my username is kelzify)

fashion friday/// week 12

While I guess there is an overall right and wrong in the high-fashion world, the thing I love about the blogs I read is that there isn't. Every person dresses in their own unique way and that's what makes me love it the most. The thing I love second most is how people restyle or repurpose items to make different outfits. Their sense of creativity and one of a kind charm is what woos me to their blog worlds and internet closets.
The ladies below are no different....

Blogger: in bugs drawers
Something about this lady just screams (to me) school girl with a charm. Perhaps its from her first outfit shown here, but all of her clothes seems to original and vintage and I love how each look is different and uniquely her own.

Blogger: cupcakes and cashmere
This blogger may be my absolute favorite fashionista of all time. No lie. She makes everything and anything look beautiful. But let's face it, her clothes are also to die for. Be my shopping buddy, please?!?!?!?

remember that time I broke my finger?

It was only 2-ish months ago...
But now I have to get physical therapy for it. (Go ahead and laugh, I did). I'm sure it's just another way to get more money from worker's comp.
Anyway, I decided to go down memory lane. Bare with me here, this is the first time I've ever broken anything and I figured I should commemorate it with a little photo montage. Besides, if you know anything about me at all, you know that I'm obsessed with taking photos and therefore any excuse will suffice.
So enjoy the short trip down memory lane. And don't forget to laugh....

* Not entirely sure if I was allowed to take this last picture, but they left me alone in a room with it on...so yea. And besides, I wanted to show that it's all healed now! Plus, the x-rays were the best. I heard way too many "Okay, face your finger like you're giving me the bird." You always want to flick off the doctors office, but how many times can you do it and get away with it?? ( I did 4 times!)

52 lists in 52 weeks// week 23

A little late with this one, sorry.

List 23:
Thing I believe in. (make it serious, make it fun, or do some of both, but make it true).

I believe....
.... that Christ died for me and you. That he is the Savior and I owe him everything.
...that every birthday should come with cake (or cupcakes).
... that the truth should always be more important.
... that reading is extremely important.
...that books are often better than the movie.
...that love wins.
...that no one should have to pay for their birthday drinks.
...your attitude determines your happiness.
...that timing is everything.
...that heaven exists.
...that all dogs go to heaven.
...that love isn't all you need for a relationship to survive.
...it's not about what you know, but who you know.
...that it's true: a happy wife equals a happy life.
...Christmas music should not be played until after Thanksgiving.

What do you believe?

hallelujah

The first several days of November I've been sick... like strep plus a viral infection sick. (All even after I wrote November a love note.....). Dang.

Instead of continuing to dwell on the bad, I'm focusing on the positive....
-my step dad is getting healthier
-im getting healthier
- my mom starts her new job soon (which also means this next week will be our last together at the old firm.... so it will be a special one)
- i've found some new music to love
- pinterest has given me tons of inspiration
- as have other blogs and i cant wait to start getting into crafts again
- i finished gossip girl...im now all caught up. cant wait for monday!!!
- i miss work. my kids. my co-workers. cant wait to see them monday!
- ive more than caught up on sleep. 3 days of sleeping and a tiny bit of tv have given me tons of rest and im finally starting to feel human again!!!
-i haven had soda in days (and im hoping to keep this up even after my sickness-grossness is gone!

And I found this (this may be one of my favorite sayings ever):

So starting tomorrow, I'm creating something. Whether I blog more, journal again, try more diys, or just work on my art journals, i'm doing something and its going to feel great!!!

Enjoy your Fridays!

hello there november

Dear November,
Just so you know, October was full and pretty awesome (minus a few things....). Besides one of my favorite holidays (Halloween), I also got my splint off, made an attempt at some pretty awesome treats (found from pinterest), got a new roommate, started working at the law office again, biked some, spent tons of time with awesome friends, crafted, and Steven and I had our first picnic. Of course, some not so great stuff happened, like my step-dad going to the hospital and our firm separating (which turned out to be a great thing for most, just not all).
So you better be awesome, because October is gonna be a bit hard to follow. Although, you will be the month where Steven's mom gets remarried (and I finally get to meet his sister), and I get to go home to Pensacola for Thanksgiving!!!
Just pretty please be an awesome month from start to finish.
xoxo kellz

And some photos from the last day of October (and one of my favorite holidays....oops did I already mention that??)

dressed for work

can you guess what I was for halloween???
(slumber party)
a girl from work gave me the idea. cute eh?

Hope you had a fabulous Halloween too!

kellie
