Help out my school!! (pretty, pretty please with a cherry on top??)
On April 30th, Barnes and Noble will be helping out my school. What's really awesome abot this is that 20% of what anyone buys (if you mention Sheffield Elementary) will go straight to our school!!
You can purchase books from any Barnes and Noble that day, or even order from them online!
All you have to do is mention my school's name (Sheffield Elementary and/or our school voucher #: 10441897) and we get 20%!
Our school could really use this (couldn't any?)
So pretty, pretty please if you have any books in mind, or just have a love of book shopping, please wait and do it on April 30th at Barnes and Noble!!!!

much love

weekend recap
This weekend was the last of my spring break, so I tried to use it wisely. With that being said I guess I should fess up to the fact that I spent a lot of it hanging out with friends, baking up a storm, had a joint garage and bake sale with friends, and tried really hard to catch up on schoolwork and lesson plans. Still though, an awesome weekend with some awesome friends. :)

Thursday Rod, Ashley and I went for some food, drinks, and catching up. :)

Friday and Saturday Jenn, Joe, Steven and I spent time preparing for our garage sale. And Jenn and I spent hours baking. I LOVED it. I tried a new recipe (chocolate muffins) and an old-ish one (cinnamon cookies).
There was way too much amazing food....brownies (2 kinds), cinnamon cookies (2 kinds), sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate muffins, strawberry cupcakes, chocolate cake, and carrot cake. YUM. My sister helped make some food too and we kinda snacked on the leftovers all day. But hey...it all went to an awesome cause!

My sister and her kiddos even came out to help. Gia loved the big dog the best. Too adorable.

Then of course I spent the rest of my time on schoolwork and lesson planning. I even got to enjoy the porch some while doing it. I love it out there now that I have redecorated it some.
Hope you had an awesome weekend too!
Now back to studying for Friday (HUGE exam) and listening to my roommates and friends play Call of Duty...oh the life. :)

my style

In thinking about what my home style is.....I sadly have to admit to sum it up in one word would be: clutter.
I am not proud of this. Heck, I despise disorganization...but somehow it happened. My friend Ashley actually described it quite accurately, I like so many styles that I seem to find it hard to pick just one, so I go with a bunch and when I try to incorporate them....clutter ensues.
So I have a new goal.... I want to declutter my place. I also want to make it less girly and more unisex friendly. Afterall, I've had a boy roommate for over a year....
I want my new style to be fresh. Simple. Organized. Spring colors.
Any tips???

Key West (Spring 2011 trip)
Since this week has been spring break for me, Steven and I decided to take a trip down to Key West (especially since I've never gone....and I've only lived in FL all my life). It was tons of fun. We got to visit his mom on the way down and then we got 3 days of fun in the sun....we ate a ton, had tons of daiquiris , got a lot of sun (I'm burned!!), went parasailing, jet skiing, snorkeling, swimming, kayaking.....
Sun, beach, some drinks, and my best friend...it was exactly what I needed. :)

And here's on the way down there (in Miami):

we're green
Yea, I'm a bit late putting these up.....
Can you guess what holiday this is from? ha!

Life here in the cove (what we call our neighborhood) is good. Busy, tiring, but good. And spring break is almost here, yay!
We also have been trying to cook more...or maybe I should say Steven is trying to cook for us more. hahaha

homemade pizza = yum!!!
Happy Wednesday! Only one more day for me left (Friday is a teacher planning day).
