Today I've spent most of my time volunteering (at the school I just finished my internship at on Thursday) and painting (see above). Productive day, if I do say so myself. :)

this past week (in the form of lists)

The good:
-I'm finally done with school!
-As a graduation gift, my mom bought me an iphone (yay....my first)
-I get to go to NYC (for work) and as a graduation gift, my boss is paying so that my mom and I can go together and stay after working to visit
-And I might get to meet a pen pal/blogger pal while I'm there!!
-My awesome friends and family that helped me celebrate no more school
-My awesome students and directing teacher that gave me an awesome goodbye (including a scrapbook with goodbye notes from all of them)
-My birthday is coming up soon!!
- I now have tons of time to read!! And catch up on pen pals and the pen pal lists!

The bad:
- My graduation party(ish) turned out not so awesome (actually, very not so awesome)....and I have come to realize that I need to learn to be nicer...
-I am going to miss the Barnes and Noble bookfair my kids are going to participating at, BUT I will still be buying my books in a NYC shop...how about you?


Life is good :)

My last day

Today was my very last day of interning. I have to admit I'm a bit sad. I'm thankful for all (well almost all) of the college work to be done and I am only days away from graduation, BUT I am going to miss my 5th graders. They are such a sweet bunch and the teachers I got to work with were amazing. I am walking away from this experience with so many lessons and memories. :)
Luckily, they are having Career Day Tuesday and I have been invited to attend, so I don't quite have to do the tearful goodbye yet. Although the scrapbook they made me with little goodbye notes from each student almost made me cry...I'm such a girl. haha

Thank you to everyone who has been so encouraging this semester with my internship. I appreciate it sincerely. Don't worry...now I am going to get back on top of things I had kind of let go of....so new pen pal groups we will be sent out soon, as will pen pal letters I haven't yet had a chance to respond to. Keep your eyes out!

the game or the concession food?

Lately, thanks to the boyfriend I've been watching a lot of Red Sox games (and yes I'm trying to memorize the players as well.) Of course being me (and a Stapleton...we love food) I started noticing the food being sold in the background (you know hot dogs, cotton candy, etc.) and I got to thinking......which is better: the game or the food at the game?




As much as I love sports (and especially hockey and football) I gotta admit, the food is amazing!!! But I think I love the food the most.
What about you??? Give me your opinion.

While the boys are away....

Last night my roommates had plans, so I had the place all to myself. Of course, I tend to have add moments, so without the boys around to keep me company, I took a photo break to keep myself occupied. No dinner break, just photos (shows my priorities right?) Although, the break did include food (cupcakes that my awesome friend Jenn made)!
But don't worry...I did take TONS of time to work on my portfolio. :) Almost there.....
I also have only 5 days left of my internship. It's crazy how wicked fast its flown by. Part of me is stressing trying to get everything done in time and the other part of me is a little bit sad to leave my fifth graders. They have been an amazing group!
Well, off to a seminar!

Goodbye sweet Coco

Words cannot even begin to describe how sad I am right now. You were such a wonderful and loyal dog for 15 years. You were the best birthday surprise I've ever gotten and I've loved you more than you could know.
Today was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. And it hurts like hell.
