I'm not entirely sure why (because we are talking about a girl who is deathly afraid of all scary movies) but I love hearing about ghost stories. I've gone on tons of ghost tours in St. Augustine (one last weekend in fact) and several in Savannah, GA., and even though I get somewhat scared, I still enjoy them. Maybe it's the history buff in me, or perhaps the adrenaline rush that comes with it, or maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment....in any case, when I saw this link to all these stories about (supposed "real" haunted homes I couldn't pass up checking it out.
So for all of you that are just as curious as me.... click on the link above to see more about haunted houses such as:
Stranahan House in Ft. Lauderdale, FL (where I'm from...eek!)
Lizzie Borden House in Fall River, Mass.
La Lalaurie House in New Orleans, LA
Hull House in Chicago, IL
Franklin House in Cleveland, OH
Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC
happy haunting,
kellie

The Glensheen Mansion in Duluth, MN is haunted too!
You missed the Winchester House! As in the gun that won the west...they do great tours and the house is NUTS. There is a seance room, doors that lead nowhere, windows in the floor, a stained glass window that is never touched by the sun, and other crazy crazy crazy things! If you're in CA, you should check it out for sure.
They all look creepy on the outside. I wouldn't dare look inside..lol~
I went to the Waley House in San Diego. Creepy!
i think id be too much of a scardey cat to go in a haunted house!
Love all things scary!!! The ghost tours in St Augustine crack me up :) When I was at Flagler College my roommate and I went to the floor in the girls dorm that is supposedly haunted. We freaked ourselves out...but really it WAS scary! <333
michelle- yea ive heard that flagler is haunted- always wanted to visit the inside. but havent. but the st. augustine ghost tours are a bit too commerical for me. the one we went on last weekend was awesome though...haunted pub crawl!!! lol

I went on a ghost tour a few years ago - no ghosts. All we saw was a mechanical doll they made pop up at one point... LAME!
I was so prepared to see ghosts damn it!
But then i think if i really saw something then i would have a heartattack.
The building my mum works in is haunted... they think by a lady that used to be a cleaner there... they have security footage of bikes being picked up off the wall racks and thrown onto the ground away from the wall - SPOOKY!!!!
I love real haunted houses. Not those fake ones.
