oh, hello

Lately.....
I've been
watching a lot of Supernatural and Lost,
writing tons of lessons (but somehow I'm still always behind),
trying to get over strep (successfully),
wishing I had more time to write pen pal letters, craft, watch more movies, and read,
avoiding the gym (not good when I only have a month to get beach ready),
planning a spring break trip,
cleaning and organizing my place to make room for another certain someone,
trying to still fit in fun (including the monster jam yesterday....so many pictures to upload).

Life is full and good....I only wish there was more time to get everything done. I miss you blogworld!

Lost......

Okay, so not going to lie, I've been pretty obsessed with Lost lately. Yes I know, I waited until it went off the air and then fell in love, but the best part?? I can watch them all in a row (on Netflix!)

Recipe//Green Bean App

Every time Steven and I go to TGIFridays (which isn't that often....) we get the fried green beans (his favorite):


Then I cam across Emma's blog post on how to make her "green bean bites":


So I decided to try my hand at making my own version. Granted, the final project isn't as pretty as either TGIFridays nor Emma's but I think for a first time, they turned out pretty well....

Ingredients:
-green beans (i used a whole bag of frozen)
-salt
-Parmesan cheese
-crescent roll dough


Procedures:
-Put the package (or half) of frozen green beans in a hot of water and bring to a boil. Then simmer. Follow the package instructions, but leave green beans in for 5 minutes, or until beans are ready.

-Drain Green Beans and put them on paper towels to dry.


-As the green beans are drying, lay the crescent roll dough out and take strips of the dough, and roll them in the Parmesan cheese, untilw covered on both sides.

-Once the green beans are dry, roll the dough around each bean separately and place them on a pan.

-Put the beans on the pan in the oven at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes, or until the dough is crispy brown.

again

So apparently I am sick again. Honestly, I miss feeling good.
I'm crossing my fingers that it's not the flu (please cross yours too)!!!!

Life has been good though (minus feeling this awful)..... I spent valentines day with the sweetest boyfriend. :) And all week I've been trying to get caught up on work and homework, while also trying to watch as much of Lost and Supernatural as I can. This past weekend I got to catch up with friends, spend some good quality time with my handsome boyfriend, and went bowling with the young adults and high schoolers at my church last night.
(More pictures on all of it soon to come I promise).

Now to work on lessons and try to get rid of this horrible throat ache and body aches. :(

fill in the blank friday

This week I just had to participate. :) I've followed the awesome blog of Lauren's for some time and I just love her fill in the blank posts, so here it is. (ps photo is her's as well).

1. I am a girl, Christian, student, teacher, sister, friend, girlfriend, aunt, niece, cousin, youth director, a blogger, an internet junkie, crafter, among many things.....

2. The bravest thing I've ever done was travel to Europe with a group I barely knew. (It was a study abroad course and I had only known my classmates for 2 weeks before we left.)

3. I feel prettiest when in the morning, when I finish getting ready for the day....it's fresh and I feel confident about facing the day ahead.

4. Something that keeps me awake at night is all the things I have left to do. I am constantly making lists in my head about all my to do lists (yes, I have multiple).

5. My favorite meal in the entire world is my mom's home chicken and dumplings (or the kind from Crackel Barrel).

6. The way to my heart is by going out of your way to show me you care.

7. I would like to always be someone my parents are proud of.


Okay and yes I am aware of the weird font change....sometimes blogger, I really wish I understood you better.

the day before valentines day

Happy Valentines Day! (Well ....almost.)
I've spent my day-before V-day he;ping put together valentines with the youth for the church members, napping, homework, and LOTS of baking. Now time for more homework and baking :)
