movie night

Tonight I'm planning a movie night...for me! And maybe 1 or 2 other people, but I'm looking forward to a quiet night in watching a movie. It's the first actual weekend I've gotten in 3 weeks!!!

Zombieland was recommended to me by Rikki Cupcake a while ago and it finally came in the mail yesterday! Can't wait. :)

Thank yall for all the movie recommendations I've added a TON to my netflix and am excited to get to them all. :)

What movie(s) are yall looking forward to watching???

film friday (my list of good vs. bad)

Okay, so as I'm sure yall have already noticed, I watch a lot of movies. I'm kind of a homebody and like staying in, but i have to be multitasking in order to be happy and content. In fact multitasking watching movies and doing crafts is like the perfect day for me!! So awhile back I got netflix and I've been both surprised and deeply disappointed in some of the choices. There have been some that are sooo horrible my friends refused to let me pick another group movie for a long time (this is known as the "History Boys" debacle)....

Latley though I've been thinking about how much of a girl I am and how my mind changes so frequently. With movies and such trival things I tend to sway on my opinions. There were a lot of movies that looked stupid via trailers and I refused to watch them, but upon hearing more about them I decided to jump on the bandwagon and see what the fuss was all about....turns out I liked them.

So here are some examples of movies that looked bad but turned out to be soooo great!

Then of course there are the movies that I saw advertised and just HAD to watch. They looked like something I would absolutely fall in love with. While their dissapointment and oddness did not match that of History Boys, they still are considered time wasters in my book (and I hope I don't offend anyone in my movies choices..... my movie taste is not the best I'll be the frist to admit!)

Well, there's my list if the good vs. bad (in my opinion of course!)
What are some films that surprised you in how awful or awesome they actually turned out to be???

film friday

My best friend Leigh and I watched this movie this past week, Jennifer's Body. I wasn't sure how I would feel about it, since I despise Megan Fox movies, but I actually enjoyed it. I think because it was a spoof of scary movies. And that got me thinking about other movies like it.....

I love all of these movies and I think majorly because they poke fun of actual scary movies (which I hate watching, but still do). I love humor in movies, especially morbid humor.

What kind of humorous "scary" movies do you like??
Do you prefer this kind of movie or actual scary movies??
Do share!!

Well, I'm off to a bachelorette party. :) Have a wonderful weekend loves!!

film flick friday and other fun things!

HI!!!! Somehow it's already Friday, and I couldn't be happier about that!!! :)

For this Friday's film post I got to thinking about all the movies I adored as a kid. These are the movies that I watched on VHS (oh those were the days!) over and over again until the tape was ruined and my parents had to buy me another copy of it.

Here are my childhood favorite movies!:

What were your favorite movies as a kid????

Other fun news......

Thursdays I've tried to incorporate posts about things that inspire me (as you may already know). Sometimes I get so bogged down with life that I want to remember the fun, creative, lovely parts about life; hence, why I started this post feature.
I decided this week though, that I wan to incorporate more into it than just pictures, ideas, and themes. I want to incorporate YOU!!! So many of you inspire me daily and reading your blogs and seeing what you have done in your life motivates me more than you could possibly know! Therefore, I want to talk about you in my Thursday posts too, because you inspire me more than weheartit.com or any other site.
I've already e-mailed some of the wonderful ladies that inspire me daily, but I don't have everyone's email....sooooo if you would like to be featured, please e-mail me @ kellz0505@gmail.com!!! I'm really excited about incporating this into my blog. Lindsay over at bearypixie has done it and I loooooove reading those posts (which is what started me thinking about doing this). :)

film flick friday

Happy Friday everyone!!
I decided that for film flick friday I will introduce a film category, share my faves and not so faves and then (hopefully) get yalls feedback. I love being able to share with yall on here and I want you (the readers) to feel like you can share here too. So please, when/if you have a comment or recommendation, please share. I love hearing your comments!!!

Tidbit about me:
I use to hate Woody Allen films. Well, I guess I can't say that. It was more of the fact that his personal life freaked me out and I just couldn't ever see myself being able to like any of his movies. But I finally grew up and decided to give them a try. This of course means that I ended up loving most of them!!

The first of his movies I saw was Scoop. SOOO good. I was hooked.

To be honest, I hated Everything Else. I wanted to stop it, but pressed on thinking it might get better....it didn't.

Curse of the Jade Scorpion was really good. Love the time era.

Murder in Manhattan was pretty good, not the best but it def kept me laughing!

Ok...this is the last of his movies I've watched. I saw 15 minutes of it and couldn't stand anymore. Awesome cast and I tend to love musicals, but this one just wasnt for me.

So now, (as I want to do for all my film flick friday posts) tell me--what Woody Allen films do you like/don't like? Did you agree or disagree with any of my opinions? Are there any other films of his that you recommend??? Please do share!!!

love
